Smart Fiduciaire

Smart Fiduciaire is a chartered accountancy firm set up as a private limited company on rue du Vert Bois in Montigny-le-Tilleul, in Hainaut. It grew out of a friendship between Guillaume Lalieux, a chartered accountant and ITAA-certified tax adviser, and Renaud Bricoult, an ITAA chartered accountant, who met in 2004 at the start of their careers. In 2016 they combined their practices to found Smart Fiduciaire. In 2020 the firm moved from Mont-sur-Marchienne to larger premises in Montigny-le-Tilleul, close to major roads and with ample parking, which it extended again in 2025.

The team has around fifteen people: the two directors, several ITAA-approved chartered accountants, including a team leader who is a chartered tax accountant, accounting file managers, a secretary, an accounting assistant and trainees. The firm says it selects staff first for their human qualities and keeps a family atmosphere. Its watchwords are availability, efficiency and proactivity, with the aim of bringing clients peace of mind by helping them reach their goals.

The firm has built a specialist branch, Smart Medical, for healthcare professionals in Wallonia: GPs and specialists, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, dentists, vets, speech therapists, psychologists, podiatrists and midwives. Its accountants visit clients at home, at the hospital, at their practice or pharmacy, as well as offering video calls. The Smart Management branch serves SMEs, company directors, liberal professions and consultants with strategic and accounting support.

In bookkeeping, Smart Fiduciaire keeps the books in its offices, or reviews and validates accounts the client processes themselves, and trains clients who want to bring it in-house. It prepares the balance sheet and statutory notes, produces interim statements to plan ahead, publishes the annual accounts with the National Bank and files VAT returns, VAT listings and intra-community listings. The office is fully paperless: a web application lets clients send documents and check their accounts at any time, with remote help if needed.

In tax, it handles corporate income tax, personal income tax, legal entities tax and non-resident tax, prepares for and assists during tax audits and designs optimisation structures, in the belief that tax should be anticipated rather than endured. Its Fiscal Safe scheme pools the fees linked to tax audits for a contribution from 10 euros a month excluding VAT.

For company formation and incorporation, including selling a patient list to one's own company, the Smart création package takes care of everything: feasibility study, financial plan, search for financing and bank negotiation, articles of association and publication in the Official Gazette with the notary, registration at a business counter and optimisation of the director's pay.
