Overview

Fiduciaire Digitale, which also goes by the name iFid, is a firm of chartered accountants and tax advisers accredited by the ITAA. It has two offices: on boulevard du Souverain in Watermael-Boitsfort, in Brussels, and on rue du Fond Cattelain in Mont-Saint-Guibert, opposite the Axis Park near Louvain-la-Neuve. The firm was formed in 2020 from the split of an accounting practice of some fifty staff spread between Brussels and Louvain-la-Neuve. Today it has around twenty people, including chartered accountants, tax advisers and in-house lawyers specialising in tax and company law.

The firm is led by Benoît Meurmans, who holds a degree in commercial and financial sciences from ICHEC and a diploma in tax law from the École supérieure des sciences fiscales. After working in the corporate tax department of Coopers & Lybrand, he founded in 1998 the practice from which iFid emerged. He is a certified chartered accountant and certified tax adviser. His partner is Nicolas Widar, chartered accountant and IT manager of the firm. Clients come from Brussels, Uccle and Woluwe, as well as Lasne, Waterloo, Nivelles, Wavre, Gembloux and Namur.

Bookkeeping runs on Horus accounting software and Falco, its client app. Each client can view their books at any time and gets a dedicated e-mail address, free of charge, for sending purchase invoices. The engagement covers administrative organisation, filing and scanning of documents, data entry or training in data entry, supervision, VAT returns, cost accounting, the balance sheet and annual accounts, and financial and profitability analysis. The website notes that mandatory e-invoicing in 2026 should simplify these flows further.

On tax, the firm advises on and reviews VAT, handles corporate income tax, personal income tax, legal entities tax and non-resident tax, and the taxation of foreigners in Belgium or Belgians abroad. It supports estate planning, gifts, the calculation of registration duties and the asset tax on non-profits and foundations. It submits rulings requests to the Advance Decisions Service, prepares and attends tax audits, and offers insurance covering fees in the event of an audit. It also advises on usufruct, property leasing, life annuities and the tax shelter scheme.

The payroll and HR side includes coordination with the payroll bureau and pay management, staff cost analysis, employment contracts, the social status and remuneration of company directors, electronic filings and the search for grants and subsidies, through to end-of-career and pension questions. For business formation, the firm helps choose the legal form, drafts the articles of association with the notary, handles registration with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises and for VAT, and draws up the financial plan. Some of these services can be subsidised in Wallonia and Brussels, as the firm is approved for these schemes.

Business advisory work covers company law, statutory publications, incorporation and contributions in kind, capital increases or reductions, the arrival of new shareholders, and the transfer and sale of businesses, including drafting the agreements. The management support service produces forecasts, dashboards and budgets, monitors profitability and internal control, attends board meetings and general meetings, and helps look for financing, premiums or grants.

Two sectors have their own offer. For medical professions, the firm works with general practitioners and specialists, surgeons, dentists, physiotherapists, vets, pharmacists and nurses: VAT for pharmacies, contribution, sale or lease of a patient list, groupings of practitioners and the creation of community health centres. For property developers and investors, it keeps accounts that reflect property transactions and stock management, and advises on building rights, long leases, split ownership and mergers or demergers.
