Experya is a firm of accountants and tax advisers at number 47 chaussée de Charleroi in Fleurus, between Namur and Charleroi, five minutes from the E42 motorway. The firm is registered with the ITAA under number 50.924.592. It works with self-employed people, SMEs and associations, whether the business is run as a sole trader or a company, and follows them from creation to succession. Its offices include meeting rooms, and reception is open Monday to Friday, morning and afternoon, with appointments possible outside those hours.

Behind the firm is a team of around thirty staff. Every file is handled by a named contact who knows the client's history, issues and goals, and staff pool their skills on each file. For SMEs, it can take over all accounting and tax obligations or review the books kept by the in-house team. It prepares the company's and the director's tax returns, the VAT returns and the annual accounts, which it files with the National Bank.

The non-profit sector has a special place. The firm keeps the accounts of many national and international non-profit associations, from no staff to more than a hundred employees, and knows their constraints: multiple funding sources, grants, governance and social impact to demonstrate. It sets up charts of accounts suited to funders, prepares budgets, budget reviews, cost accounting and cash plans, prepares financial justification of grants and dashboards, and trains accountants, management and board members. Since 2009, it has carried out consultancy work for the Walloon Region and contributed to a guide to eligible expenditure and a model chart of accounts for the sector.

On tax, the firm works on directors' pay, dividends and withholding taxes, short- and long-term planning and preparing for reforms.

Advice to directors turns the accounts into a management tool: profitability analysis, dashboards and key indicators, and decision support during growth, investment or restructuring. On the tools side, Experya helps set up digital accounting, e-invoicing, paperless documents and a client portal, with training in how to use them.
