Van Havermaet is a multidisciplinary accounting and tax advisory firm headquartered on Diepenbekerweg in Hasselt, in the heart of Limburg. It has several offices in Belgium and claims more than 80 years of experience and over 240 specialists. The firm works for entrepreneurs, liberal professionals and high-net-worth individuals seeking financial, legal, tax or HR advice, and presents itself as its clients' "right hand". Its tagline, "maetwerk", is a play on the Dutch word for tailor-made and on "maeten", colleagues.

In accounting, Van Havermaet's accountants describe themselves as the business's first-line adviser. They make sure every legal obligation is met correctly and on time, then use historical figures to look ahead with the client. Each client has a dedicated contact person. A Medici unit is aimed specifically at doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other healthcare providers, both starters and experienced practitioners, with tailored legal, tax and professional advice. The audit team carries out statutory and group audits, limited reviews, legal assignments, review of economic and financial information for the works council, due diligence, valuations and internal audits.
