COMPTA BOUILLON

Compta Bouillon is an accounting practice set up as a private limited company on rue du Canal in Leuze, in the municipality of Éghezée, about ten minutes from Namur. Its founder joined the ITAA register of chartered accountants in 2023 and created the company that same year. She now works with two staff for a client base she has built up in the area. The practice sees clients by appointment only, on weekdays during office hours and on Saturdays on request.

The website traces a career built step by step. An accounting diploma from the Université du Travail in Charleroi in 1993, then several courses in accounting, business economics and management, and a second diploma specialising in management, obtained with distinction at the ESA in Namur in 2015. Professionally, a job as executive assistant and accounting assistant at an accounting firm in 2006, then several years as accounting assistant in an SME in Namur, a spell with a property management company and a role as file manager in an accounting firm in Liège. The traineeship as a tax accountant began in 2016.

The accounting service covers the whole chain: sorting, filing and checking documents, posting entries using a chart of accounts suited to the business, managing purchases, sales, finances and cash, and preparing the annual accounts in the legal format. The practice also sets up cost accounting, which is especially useful for entrepreneurs offering several categories of services, and reviews the accounts to spot anomalies early. For clients who prefer to stay hands-on, an accounting support formula covers supervision of periodic bookkeeping, with the practice taking over the year-end closing and the filing of the balance sheet.

On the tax side, Compta Bouillon prepares and files VAT returns and the annual client listing, prepares the tax schedules and submits income tax returns for individuals, companies and legal entities. It looks for the deductions the client is entitled to, calculates the tax provision and advance payments, and provides representation during tax audits or VAT inspections, handling the relationship with the inspector. The third area is financial analysis. The practice prepares interim statements and forecast budgets, monitors customer payments, analyses costs and expenses, and advises on investments, diversification and ways to develop the business. It has recently added administrative support, customer payment follow-up and reminders, profitability analysis and the registration formalities to start a business as a sole trader or as a company.

Fees are quoted after a first meeting that is free and without commitment. The rate depends on the client's status, sole trader or company, main or secondary self-employment, and on VAT obligations, but it is based mainly on the number of accounting documents to process. The amount is calculated to be spread over the whole year, which avoids surprises at closing time.
