Buro Lagae

Boekhouding Lagae is a family accounting firm on Ter Reigerie, in the Clintonpark in Roeselare, West Flanders. The company is accredited by the ITAA under number 52.404.349. Its story starts in 1988, when Frank Lagae took on his first client as a side activity. The office moved in 2000 to Iepersestraat in Roeselare, welcomed Olivier in 2011 and Miguel in 2014, both with a master's in commercial sciences, and moved in 2015 to the Clintonpark under the name Boekhouding Lagae. The firm cites more than fifty years of combined expertise at its clients' service.

In 2023, the brothers Olivier and Miguel Lagae, both certified accountants, took over the management of the firm; their father remains available as a sounding board behind the scenes. That same year, the growing client base led the office to buy the building next door and double its space. In 2025 the team numbers twelve people. The firm has also joined forces with Lambrecht Accountants in Meulebeke under the shared name Pitt: both offices remain independent but share knowledge, experience and tools.

Start-up support begins on day one: sharpening the idea, choosing the right legal form, preparing the business plan, registering and obtaining a VAT number. The firm makes sure digital administration is set up properly from the start, so the entrepreneur always knows where the business stands. It answers typical start-up questions, such as how to become self-employed or when is the right time to invest.

In accounting and tax, Boekhouding Lagae tracks every deadline and files VAT, personal income tax and corporate income tax returns correctly and on time. Accounts and tax approach are tailored to each client's situation, sector and plans, with the aim of explaining what the figures mean and identifying the tax benefits the business is entitled to. The firm invests in automation and works with Visma to offer clients a fully digital way of working.

The legal and employment side covers choosing the type of company, staff matters and payroll, with plain-language advice that is legally sound and strategically right. The future and strategy side helps the entrepreneur prepare each next step, whether an investment, an expansion or an acquisition: business plans, cash flow analysis or valuation reports turn the figures into insights for decisions, including how best to put profits to work for growth.

The firm describes itself as straightforward and approachable, and wants a relationship in which the client is not a file number. It is open Monday to Friday, from 8.00 to 12.30 and from 13.30 to 17.00, and offers a first meeting without obligation. It regularly recruits junior accountants and file managers and takes on trainees.
