FISCALIFT

Fiscalift is a Brussels fiduciary firm launched in early 2013 by Florentino Quidiello, who manages it. Its name sums up its project: FISCA for the field of activity, LIFT for the support given to clients' growth. The firm recalls that the root of the word fiduciary refers to trust, and describes a collaboration based on regular exchanges of information and anticipating opportunities as well as difficulties. It says it wants to go beyond the figures, because financial results depend on mechanisms and processes that belong to management.

The team shown on the website brings together two profiles. Florentino Quidiello holds a master's degree in tax management from the Solvay Brussels School, is a member of the Union des Praticiens de la Fiscalité, and his preferred field is VAT. Laurent Degrelle, who holds the same degree, has been responsible for client portfolios in accounting and tax since June 2013 and was finance manager of an SME in the paramedical sector.

The accounting assignment includes setting up the general and analytical chart of accounts, bookkeeping, closing the accounts, and preparing and filing annual accounts with the National Bank. Accounts and reports are then presented to the client. In this way the firm aims to free the manager for the other aspects of running the business.

In tax, the firm covers personal income tax, corporate income tax, legal entity tax, non-resident income tax and VAT. It adds doctrinal and case law research, tax simulations, calculation of advance payments, the search for the least taxed legal route and tax and wealth optimisation. It also gives opinions on national and international tax questions and assists clients in the event of a tax audit. The website details topics such as quasi-contributions, the small business exemption, benefits in kind, copyright income and group insurance.

For starting a business, Fiscalift advises on project feasibility, choice of legal form, the financial plan and possible subsidies. It acts as intermediary with the notary, the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises, the VAT authorities, the social insurance fund and the public bodies that issue permits. A section also addresses cash management, reorganisation and the sale of an activity.

The analysis and audit service helps identify a company's weaknesses and consolidate its strengths. It covers the organisation of accounting and administrative departments, advice on financial, IT and social management, business valuation, statutory assignments, judicial reorganisation and staff training.

The firm provides MyFiscalift, a platform based on Clearfacts. Clients send, secure and consult their accounting documents at any time, follow dashboards and pay invoices through a SEPA module. They can also send a provisional financial statement to their banker or insurer without waiting for their accountant.
